Phil Longorio Appointed CEO of WellDynamics
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2004--Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) announced today that Phil Longorio has been named the chief executive officer of WellDynamics BV. The world's industry leader in intelligent completion technology, WellDynamics was formed in 2001 as a 50-50 joint venture between Halliburton's Energy Services Group and Shell Technology Ventures. In January 2004, the joint venture was restructured to give Halliburton 51 percent ownership and control of day-to-day operations.
Prior to this appointment, Longorio, 51, was vice president of Sperry-Sun, one of Halliburton's product service lines, where he was responsible for general management activities for the market leader in borehole construction, formation evaluation, wellbore positioning and reservoir drainage.

During his 27 plus years with Halliburton, Longorio held various executive positions within business development and operations in the USA and the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions for Logging and Perforating, Well Testing and Drilling systems. He was a member of the Halliburton executive management team and represented Halliburton's financial interests as a member of several joint venture boards of directors. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Society of Professional Well Log Analysts.
